Designer Michael Anastassiades focused on craftsmanship, sculptural detailing and precise proportions when developing the Comma seating collection for Herman Miller. The result is a statement piece defined by minimalism and restraint.
Comma’s main gesture is its sleekly curved backrest, which wraps nearly all the way around – to embrace the user – and provides structure for the slender legs. The seat (in plain wood or with a leather-upholstered cushion), enclosed at the centre, seems to float in place.
Made from wood in a variety of stain and colourway options, the chair is a comfortable addition to dining tables as much as it would feel at home in a private office or sophisticated bistro.
Comma is available as an armless or armed chair as well as a bar- and counter-height stool.
