With the Copenhagen and Skagen chairs, outdoor furniture brand Oasiq extends its offerings to the interior realm. Each an extension of an outdoor collection designed by Milan-based studio Meneghello Paolelli Associati, the new indoor iterations maintain the same Scandinavian-inspired profiles as the originals and contribute to cohesive indoor/outdoor environments.
While the outdoor versions of the Copenhagen and Skagen chairs designed by Meneghello Paolelli for Oasiq are made from weather-resistant teak, the indoor chairs are constructed from rich walnut, a material chosen for its beautiful graining.
Instead of the tightly woven solution-dyed rope that forms the outdoor seat, the indoor Copenhagen utilizes a plush upholstered cushion, which is offered in a number of standard textiles; a range of made-to-order upholstery options are also available for customization.
The Copenhagen chair’s curved back transitions seamlessly into swooping armrests and, when rendered in walnut, highlight the expressive shifting tones of the wood’s grain.
With the indoor Skagen chair, the sculpted minimalist silhouette takes on a beautiful new personality when hand-crafted from walnut. Retaining its classic form, the Skagen chair can also be paired with a seat cushion in a wide collection of standard textiles.
