Named for Renaissance polymath Nicolaus Copernicus, the Copernica lighting collection by Mavisten Edition expresses a form slightly reminiscent of traditional astronomy tools.

The two pendants, table and floor lamp and chandelier that comprise the lighting collection all feature three elements that contribute to the elegantly industrial effect: A vintage-style filament bulb orbited by a sleek brass-plated steel ring that is enveloped by a mouth-blown smoked glass shade.

Intersecting with the axis of the brass ring, the half-dome shade creates the illusion of a full sphere.

With the table and floor lamps, the spherical head is held aloft by a slender brass stem, while the pendant and chandelier are suspended by a black cable and black cable with brass chain links, respectively (both are heigh-adjustable).
