The Dancing Queen wallpaper collection by Annika Reed Studio brings a rhythmic elegance to interior spaces. Each of the six patterns (Cross Stitch, Garden Tetris, Circus, Wiggly Squiggly, Wobble and Zig Zag) is compelling in its own right and celebrates the absurd, the historical and everything in between. Here are three favourites:
Taking inspiration from the nomadic nature of 19th-century big top travelling circuses and the vision of P.T. Barnum, Circus reimagines a traditional stripe with an overlay of illustrated circles. Half shaded on alternating sides, the shape takes on a lively spirit and represents “unity, completeness and the never-ending cycle of excitement.” Offered in yellow and green colourways.
Putting a “rebellious” twist on the classic preppy stripe, Wobble switches between bold solid lines and loosely drawn thinner ones. Pairing the perfect with the imperfect gives the pattern a playfully animated and somewhat spontaneous effect. Offered in blue and red and two-tone green colourways.
With Zig Zag, a set of traditional stripes border a jagged-edged version running in the middle, creating a sense of merriment and movement. Rendered in contrasting colourways, the pattern is graphic, dynamic and enchanting and complements a variety of interior design styles. Offered in Mustard (with red), Blue (light and dark) and Pink (with green).
While each pattern is offered in pre-determined colourways, they can all also be customized to match any project.
