The Dual-Sided Textures collection from 3form represents the latest expansion to the brand’s award-winning 100% Recycled Textures line. Adding to the existing 21 single-sided offerings, the Dual-Sided Textures collection features four new textures that create a captivating and tangible interaction of light and shadow.
The four new Dual-Sided Textures from 3form – Soho, Valencia, Monterey and Sierra – are achieved by moulding contemporary patterns on either side of the brand’s 100 per cent recycled resin, meaning it is recognizable from both directions.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic glass blocks that were popular from the 1930s to the 1980s, Soho features a structured grid of large squares that organize a repeated series of smaller squares.
Evoking mid-century modern designs, Valencia reimagines a classic square motif by softening the edges to offer a sleek and minimal look, which provides an interesting object obscurity.
Playing with the fluidity of water, Monterey has a subtle, undulating pattern that appears ever-changing. With the pattern mirrored on both sides, light undergoes a gentle diffusion.
Finally, Sierra pays homage to 20th-century glasswork with a hammered-glass-like pattern overlayed with larger circles that function as lenses to draw attention to the depth and detail of the overall pattern.
All four patterns within the Dual-Sided Textures collection offer unmatched levels of light refraction and visual privacy when rendered in clear resin; the textures can also be paired with one of 3form’s vast colourway options, which offers a new perspective and effect. The collection is available in all 3form’s standard 121.9-by-243.8-centimetre and 121.9-by-304.8-centimetre panel sizes (with 0.9- and 1.27-centimetre gauges).
