Originally designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2008, the Eloro collection from Cassina has been redeveloped for outdoor use. Working in close collaboration with Dordoni Studio, the Italian furniture-maker has introduced an armchair, a two- and three-seater sofa, a chaise-longue and end elements that are durable for outdoor living.
Characterized by its inherent elegance, the Eloro Outdoor collection is built around a refined structure made from natural iroko, a durable and high-performance deep brown wood with distinct interlocked grain. The Eloro Outdoor collection is part of Cassina’s 2026 outdoor collection.
Made by the skilled experts in Cassina’s carpentry workshop, the Eloro Outdoor collection preserves the sophisticated details and fine workmanship of its interior predecessor, including the architectural profile of the legs and the interplay of triangles and diagonals in the overall form.
Complemented by generous cushions, the Eloro Outdoor collection supports and gently embraces the body while maintaining a composed and balanced shape. The backrest cushions are fixed to a back panel made from a new material that mimics the supple saddle leather used for the original interior version; the pliable outdoor material is waterproof and UV-resistant and comes in a rich Cognac colour with tone-on-tone perimeter stitching. The seat cushions can be specified as a single-seat or as individual cushions for each placement.
Adding to the appeal of the Eloro Outdoor collection is its circular design approach — the cushion padding is made from recycled polyester fibre wadding and polyurethane foam, which features a percentage of recycled polyols. The cushion covers are lined with a water-repellent polyester canvas and all components can be disassembled for repair and recycling at end of life.
