Protected: Floe Benches

Floe, a new line of contemporary benches by Maglin Site Furniture, is designed for public spaces where comfort, durability and visual cohesion matter. Floe balances large-profile wood with soft, rounded forms and a concave seat that’s more comfortable for sitting. The bench design plays on the theme of ellipses, using repeating radii to create visual consistency and fluidity across a wide range of environments, including streetscapes, campuses and commercial and mixed-use developments.

“We’re excited to add large-profile wood bench seating to our offerings,” says Ian McAskile, CEO of Maglin Site Furniture. “With Floe, we prioritized comfort, flexible configurations and sustainable materials that stand up to everyday use. As a result, Floe fits naturally into its surroundings and supports the way people prefer to gather, pause and connect.”

Floe is made from Douglas Fir, responsibly harvested from Pacific Northwest forests. All other bench materials and components are locally sourced from trusted suppliers. An all-steel frame shores up strength while stainless steel feet raise the frame to reduce damage from ground contact and dragging. Maglin’s superior coating system, available in 18 colours, helps protect Floe from the elements.

Floe’s flexible nature lets designers customize configurations to meet their unique needs. Formats include backed, backless and extra-wide, with armed and armless options that support accessibility requirements and inclusive design goals.
