Each of the eight designs within the collection embodies graphic and spontaneous movement and imparts a refined design statement in any room. Telling the story of water, David Rockwell has expertly captured effortless movement through painterly brushstrokes, sinuous lines and gentle curves. Referencing the fluidity of water through a series of organic lines that seem to ripple across its surface, Falls Graphite is hand-knotted in Nepal using wool and silk, with textural variations subtly morphing as the light changes; Falls Graphite Shaped has the same material composition and a similar expression but in an irregular format.
Both Splash Sea and Splash Salmon mirror the movement of water in soft yet deliberate brushstrokes. These two rugs are also hand-knotted in Nepal in wool and bamboo silk and introduce a sense of calm to interiors. The Splash Sea Runner and Splash Salmon Round offer the same elegance but in smaller sizes and different shapes.
Meanwhile, Fjord Frost and Fjord Flint translate the ever-changing nature of water through an elegantly tonal palette, one a cool blue and one a steely grey. The hand-knotted wool rugs are constructed with different pile heights to deliver sculpted movement, depth and texture.
