German designer Sebastian Herkner played up the concept of modularity and the versatility of irregular forms for his first collaboration with Spanish furniture brand Gan. Comprising three separate yet compatible seating modules, the Isla system was developed to create unique arrangements that fit multiple needs and settings.

The result of extensive research into devising the perfect combination between backrest and seat, each seating volume features a supportive and enveloping back piece that serves to anchor the atypically shaped seat, both wrapped in colourful outdoor textiles and set on a powder-coated aluminum base.
With its extended horizontal element, Menorca is the largest of trio and comfortably seats up to the three and can standalone or be paired with either or both of the smaller two, the corner making Gomera and single-seater Arosa.

Isla is offered in seven nature-inspired colourways – Coral, Sand, Shell, Blue, Green, Silver and Garnet – and are filled with 100-per-cent dry fast foam rubber. Coordinating throw pillows and three sizes of side table with curved aluminum bases and available with either an Iroko wood or Dekton surface.
