Made from vintage and decommissioned fishing boats from Thailand, the Kudmai series highlights The Sacred Crafts’ commitment to developing sustainable products by upcycling unused materials. Each one-of-a-kind plank has its own unique tones and textures.
Three variations are available for the aged ironwood and acacia wood planks (which have a 15-millimetre sustainable eucalyptus plywood base). Blonde exposes the character developed from the natural aging process and ranges tonally from medium to pale yellow; Carbonized undergoes carbonization to add heat and pressure in order to enrich the natural sugars and pigments to achieve a finish that will not change colour or patina over time; and Nude, a rich red/brown hue that retains warm light for a clean, vintage look.
All three can be finished in the low-sheen Satin or the glossy Piano. The tongue and groove construction with the option to blind nail down and can be installed above or below grade; planks are 15-cenitmetre wide and lengths vary between 15 and 91.5-centimetre.
