With its slightly off-kilter arrangement, Axolight‘s Kwic lamps play with geometry in an unexpected and lively way: A semi-spherical blown glass diffuser is placed just outside the centre of a thin aluminum backplate, creating a curious visual expression. 

While the LED contained in the opaline white diffuser produces an intense light, it’s tempered by the powder-coated metal backing, which filters the illumination into a more delicate and ambient glow.  

Designed by Serge and Robert Cornelissen of Belgium, the Kwic family of lighting includes floor, suspension and ceiling/wall lamps, all of which are offered in Intense Black or Transparent Bronze finishes; the ceiling/wall version also available in a third colourway, crisp white.
