The latest update to the modern classic Little Perillo designed by Martin Ballendat, the Little Perillo ECO from Dauphin adds an eco-friendly iteration to the highly adaptable seating family.
Maintaining its distinct and twisting shell, Little Perillo ECO from Dauphin uses a sustainable and recycled material to create the swooping form: post-consumer plastics from household recycling. The plastic waste is first sorted and then cleaned and processed into a granulate, which is then melted and shaped into the sculptural shell.
By nature of how plastics are recycled and repurposed, the material takes on visually interesting characteristics, like faint streaks and specks of darker pigment; this ensures that no two chairs are exactly alike and each has its own unique texture.
Along with the new recycled material option, the signature shell of the Little Perillo ECO is available in a fresh palette of six gelato-inspired pastel colours: Traffic White, Phlox Yellow, Tender Green, Peach Cream, Signal Grey and Putty Grey.
The enveloping form of the seat is set on four slender and slightly angled legs, which are made from polished or powder-coated aluminum (in the same four colour options as the shell), beech wood or chrome. Other base options available are four-star swivel, five-star with casters or swivel circle base with singular pole, all in polished chrome.
A continuous and sinuous form that seamlessly blends the backrests, armrests and seat, the Little Perillo ECO shell makes a definitive statement in a range of public spaces, including offices, hospitality settings, restaurants and cafes, as well as in private homes. Its durable and reliable construction also makes it suitable for use in outdoor settings.
In keeping with its sustainable ethos, the individual parts of Little Perillo ECO from Dauphin can be disassembled and put back in the recycling process at end of life.
