For his first collaboration with Ligne Roset, French designer Guillaume Delvigne seemingly turns a rigid material pliable, playing with both form and expectation.
The Mallea occasional table’s four slender legs are positioned in a way that they appear to “press” a formally square top into a fluid, clover-like shape, giving it understated elegance and subtle playfulness.
Made from satin-finish black lacquered steel, the base can be topped with one of four surfaces, each defined by its own visual personality: the speckled terrazzo-like Merrazzo, the high-polished Latte (Brecha maritima, a grey-blue marble), Corsé (Marron emperador, a mottled dark-brown marble), or Verde (Indian Green, a deep green marble). All marbles are finished with an anti-stain treatment.
