Brooklyn-based industrial designer Nicholas Baker took direct influence from the ever-expanding digital realm for the appropriately named Metaverse 2.0 collection of wallpaper from Bobbi Beck.

Consisting of four patterns, the Metaverse 2.0 series of wallpaper was inspired by a favourite toy from Baker’s childhood – the Spirograph. The designer custom-3D-printed gears resembling the geometric drawing devise to create the five unique patterns that become four wallpapers and one mural: Array, Delta, Orbit, Venn and Vector.

Each one depicts a singular graphic repeated along a path, which was then duplicated digitally and used to generate the pattern.

Marrying traditional shapes with digital characteristics, all versions are available in five colourways – Beige, Green, Navy, Grey and Black – and are printed on PVC-free paper using water-based, non-toxic inks on a per-order basis to eliminate unnecessary waste. Baker also released a coordinating collection of NFTs with the Metaverse 2.0 wallpapers.
