Named for an Italian word meaning “hour,” the Ora table collection from Studio TK was designed by New York-based Jeff Miller to be a comfortable gathering spot for colleagues to connect.

The Ora table collection includes multiple variations to accommodate different settings and scenarios (an occasional table, tall work table, café table and rectangular work table). A constant throughout each version is an hourglass-shaped drum base; with the lower tables, the base features one segment, and with the taller ones, there are two portions that highlight the shapely profile.

Flexibility is a major benefit of the Ora table collection – the curvaceous bases can be selected in a durable flecked plastic polymer or be fully upholstered in a range of Luum, Maharam and Kvadrat textiles (as well as COM), with the second option allowing for colour or pattern coordination with surrounding seating; the fabric base will also aid in sound absorption.

Further, different polymers and textiles can be mixed and matched for separate portions that comprise the base, creating a near-endless variety of applications.

For the tabletops of the Ora collection, formats include round, square or rectangular with soft corners; surfaces available for the tabletop are high-pressure laminate (12 foundation laminates and nine Grade 2) or veneer (in six finishes including Natural Oak, Basque White Oak, Cocoa Brown, Truffle and Sierra). A knife-edge on the tabletop adds an elegant touch.

The Ora table collection from Studio TK can also be outfitted with optional power for enhanced functionality – the power cords are routed down the inside of the pedestal and exit at the base, offering a clean and clutter-free arrangement.

With multiple sizes and heights available, the Ora table collection can be used in a wide variety of settings, from boardrooms and shared-work spaces to private offices, lounges and hybrid setups.
