Industrial designer Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà devised the Papylia lighting collection for Stilnovo to introduce an ethereal yet distinctive visual presence to interiors.
The result of formal research, the technically precise Papylia lighting collection from Stilnovo transforms spaces through its harmonious and decorative expression. The defining feature of the lighting collection — which includes suspension, wall, table, floor and ceiling versions — is its refined interweaving of glass elements.
Reminiscent of overlapping flower petals, the glass pieces are fully transparent and create dynamic patterns with the embedded luminous traces. The shadow play changes depending on where the lights are viewed from, enhancing the compelling visual show.
When the lamps are on, the design is impactful, and when off, the glass returns to its full transparency and almost disappears completely.
Each version in the Papylia lighting collection from Stilnovo has its own identity and contributes a playful yet refined personality to contemporary interiors. With the table lamp, atmospheric light points can be arranged on desks, bedside tables or other accent surfaces, while the floor lamp incorporates an elegant metal tripod base for an industrial-meets-graceful look.
More theatrical than subdued, the Papylia suspension lamp makes a dramatic addition over dining tables or, in a grouping of three or more, can fill an atrium or stairwell with light and life. And on the wall or ceiling, the butterfly wing-like lighting fixture instills a sense of curiosity and joy.
With all fixtures in the Papylia lighting collection from Stilnovo, a central aluminum structure contains the LED source and is available in three finish options: Polished Dark Bronze, Polished Mushroom and Polished White.
