The nine recently introduced colourways to the Pearlized collection from Ultrafabrics are: Opal Dream, Pure Silver, Pink Quartz, Lavender Agate, Metallic Blue, Beryl Green, Golden Ore, Rose Pearl and Ruby Crush. Bold and striking, the new colourways offer a vibrant counterpoint to the existing selection of shimmering neutrals.
Suitable for use in a diverse range of applications – from seating in aviation and automotive interiors to furniture and wallcoverings in healthcare, workspace, hospitality and residential settings – the Pearlized collection is made using Ultrafabric’s proprietary Takumi Technology, which combines four distinct layers: a protective surface layer that is bleach-cleanable, protected from staining, liquid and moisture repellent, non-allergenic and odor free; a topskin layer made from polycarbonate resins that are engineered for strength and embedded with quality long-lasting pigments; a polycarbonate micro-foam that provides comfort while dissipating heat and moisture away from the body to support body climate regulation; and a foundational backing that delivers dimensional stability and upholstering ease.
Being made from 100 per cent polycarbonate polyurethane with a 100 per cent reinforced rayon backing (with Tencel Modal, a man-made cellulosic fibre produced from renewable beech wood), the Pearlized collection contains over 50 per cent renewable resources.
Further, the fabrics are PFAS-free, contain low VOCs to promote healthier indoor air quality, are free from FR, PVC, plasticizer phthalates, formaldehyde and other harmful chemicals and contain no Red List chemicals.
