One of three new introductions from California-based lighting studio SkLO is the Pillow Series, a collection of charming pendants, wall sconces and flush-mount ceiling fixtures characterized by concave silhouettes. 

As with all lighting by the studio, the Pillow fixtures are hand-made using centuries-old Czech glass-making techniques and celebrate craft and craftsmanship with a modern sensibility. 

Adding new geometries to the brand’s portfolio of hand-blown glass lighting, Pillow is sculptural and soft, elevated and playful. As the name implies, the Pillow lights have a curious cushion-like appearance with a note of originality. 

Each concave form is made from frosted glass with a smooth glass spherical diffuser nestled within its surface. The other forms are offered in three colourways — Clear Frosted, Smokey Grey Frosted and Strawberry Frosted — while the inner sphere comes in three contrasting tones — Celadon, Light Beige and White — which allows for multiple colour combinations. 

Pendants are suspended from a sleek brass stem and, along with the wall sconce and flush-mount ceiling fixtures, feature a handsome brass cuff. Metal finishes include Dark Oxidized, Brushed Brass and Brushed or Polished Nickel, adding another customizable option.
