The Pop-Art edition of awning fabrics by Markilux, the German shading solution manufacturer, introduces high-frequency colour to outdoor settings. Inspired by the iconic works of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, the 10 new fabrics are bold and vibrant alternatives to the subdued and neutral palettes that have dominated design in recent years.
Reflecting the spirit and charm of the 1950s and 60s, the Pop-Art edition awning fabrics in the collection range from delicate line work and subtle colour gradients to bold interpretations on classic stripes, and all are intended to saturate patios and balconies with an energetic atmosphere.
Part of the brand’s Collection One series, the Pop-Art edition awnings from Markilux are made from high-quality Sunsilk fabric, an easy to care for, high-tech material that is self-cleaning – dirt particles are absorbed by water droplets and simply bead off the awning; the material also boasts the highest possible sun protection at UPF 50+.
The textured weave visutex patterns that are in the Pop-Art edition of Markilux awning fabrics are bonded for superb water, light and heat resistance and are certified according to Oko-Tex Standard 100, which guarantees they are free from hazardous dyes and chemicals.
