The striking new Primavera wallpaper collection from Brooklyn-based Calico was inspired by the floral elements of Sandro Botticelli’s masterpieces. Designed by studio creative director and co-founder Rachel Cope, the decorative murals are infused with a similar spirit of romance and prosperity as the Italian painter’s renowned works.

Bringing vibrancy and renewal to interior living spaces, the Primavera wallpaper collection from Calico is an interpretation of the illustrious large panel painting by Botticelli, and was influenced by Cope’s deep appreciation for the beauty of the Italian Renaissance era and the impact it has had on art history.

The non-repeating mural collections features eight rich, dark backgrounds that serve as a foil for the bright and delicate flowers that dance across the surface. Hand-painted flora abounds and is hand-painted and meticulously detailed with a variety of leaves, blossoms, petals, stems and buds.

Each of the eight carefully curated colourways is intended to cultivate and express the idyllic spirit and depth of the artwork the wallpaper series is named for.

Primavera is available in: The timeless, blush-tinged Peony; whimsical and wild Anemone; cool and tranquil night sky-inspired Cornflower; ethereal and serene Jasmine; bold, vibrant and energetic Poppy; early dawn-inspired Primrose; celestial and glowing Starflower; and lively and spirited Verbena.

The made-to-order Primavera wallpaper collection from Calico is printed on PVC-free clay-coated paper with a fabric backing.
