Cologne, Germany-based industrial design firm Studio Meike Harde took celestial inspiration when creating the Proxima pendant lamp for Please Wait to be Seated.
Named for earth’s “next-nearest star,” Proxima Centauri in the Centaurus constellation, the hanging globe diffuses an otherworldly and intimate light through its unique composition.
The fixture is made from three blended-steel sheets of mesh resulting in hundreds of transparent apertures that disperse the light in every direction to create a cozy and atmospheric illumination.
The Proxima pendant lamp is available in full brass or as a three-colour option in brass, red and grey. It arrives flat-packed and is easily assembled.
