A celebration of the colours and textures found in nature, the Rare Earth collection by Suzanne Tick offers four upholstery and multipurpose textiles that are defined by shapes reminiscent of those found on migration maps, agricultural outlines and geological boundaries. Made using recycled, renewable and biodegradable fibre technology, the fabrics leave little impact on the environment.
With a classic twill structure, rich colours and solution-dyed matte surface, Ecotone directly references traditional wools but its recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre is bleach-cleanable. It’s 16 available colourways were influenced by both nature and bright synthetic activewear. Suitable for upholstery, screens and panels and wrapped wall applications.
A multi-coloured and textured surface give Haptic a pleasing granular appearance inspired by earthen minerals. Ideal for enhancing and complementing large-scale patterns, the shifting tones combine brights and neutrals, with mineral-inspired hues balancing more complex neutrals and wooly whites. The bleach-cleanable boucle yarn upholstery is available in 16 colourways.
The most graphic of the four, Mitered takes it cues from the linear rhythm of modern agricultural fields, as well as the colourful algae and sediment in San Francisco’s salt flats. Using two yarns – melange wool that contains up to six colours and an upcycled cotton blended with polyester – the large-scale upholstery pattern has a handcrafted sensibility that balances analog with digital influences. In six colourways.
Delivering a sense of kinetic energy inspired by human movement, Photogram has a textured surface with underlying large-scale pattern. A three-colour construction offers both a tactile and chromatic experience with durable bleach-cleanable boucle yarns. Available in 10 colourways.
