Expanding on his Refuge collection, which includes an outdoor daybed, bed and floor and table lamps, designer Marc Ange recently introduced the Refuge sconce.
Graphic and sculptural, the light features a single palm leaf sprouting from a cylindrical pot – made from marble, terrazzo or wood – to create a canopy above a spherical glass orb. The cut-out metal leaf casts a playful shadow against the wall, introducing a curious and decorative element to both residential and contract spaces.
Ange also introduced the Refuge Library, which features asymmetrically arranged shelves hidden among a forest gracefully curved palm trees. Set on a solid base of marble, terrazzo or wood, the bookcase can be fixed to a wall or used as a freestanding space divider. Both new pieces are offered in a palette of tropical-inspired hues.
