A common element in changing rooms and public facilities, lockers have become increasingly prevalent in shared office spaces where private desks are giving way to shared workstations. The new RFID Lockers from gumpo offer an elegant yet practical storage solution.

Designed by Berlin-based studio Relvãokellermann, the RFID Lockers from gumpo bring both secure storage and sleek style to office settings and other shared public spaces.

Utilizing wireless (radio-frequency identification) technology, the lockers are equipped with touchless electronic locks. While RFID technology usually communicates via an acoustic and an optical signal generated by an LED, gumpo has developed a way to guide the light signal to the front of the cabinets, negating the need for visible fittings or locks.

By using this LED-generated signal, the RFID Lockers from gumpo have uninterrupted, clean-lined fronts that can be seamlessly integrated into a range of styles and settings.

The installed locks can either be battery-powered or hard-wired, with the power supply or cables routed out of sight through the plinth; removable panels ensure that the cables and hardware remain easily accessible.

Wired systems can be managed centrally and also be equipped with operator terminals; each individual compartment features its own power supply, which means that personal mobile devices can be charged while being stored. The RFID Lockers can be integrated into existing systems, allowing for the use of already installed transponders to be continued.

The RFID Lockers from gumpo are made with zinc alloy and stainless steel internal locks and the bodies and cabinet and side panels can be produced in a variety of materials, including wood, metal or plastic veneer. Multiple sizes are available.
