Designed by Marco Paolelli and Sandro Meneghello – the founding duo of Milan-based Meneghello Paolelli Associati – the Riad collection for Oasiq pays direct tribute to Matheui Matégot, the Hungarian-French designer who elevated perforated sheet metal to showcase its material beauty. 

Centred around the industrial material, Riad is a modular outdoor furniture collection whose defining feature is a textured aluminum-sheet that wraps around the entirety of the new loveseat, sofas, lounge chair and club armchair and provides the backrest for the side chairs. Sofa modules include two-seaters with left or right arms or no arms; corner seat modules with left or right arms are also available. 

Also included in the outdoor collection are a dining table with teak slat surface and a rectangular coffee table and square side table, which can be topped with teak or colour-matched ceramic. Each table iteration is available in two sizes. 

The softly curved perforated aluminum sheets that form the frames for the seating elements and legs for the dining tables are lightweight and durable in the elements, while rounded teak armrests enhance the tactility and comfort. 

All pieces in the Riad collection are offered in three contemporary colourways – Anthracite, White and Pastel Green – which can be complement by padded seat cushions upholstered in three neutral-toned weatherproof textiles: Canvas Natural, Sooty and Panamone Green.
