Ringo
Ringo, designed by Joan Gaspar for Marset, continues the lighting brand’s experimentation with materiality, using a rotary-molding technique to create the appearance of glass without the added weight and fragility. Resembling the gentle ripples and striations of a block of ice, this large LED ceiling light appears both solid and weightless, while its organic shape creates subtle optical reflections.
Ringo sets up a dialogue between light and matter. Its size is in keeping with its function, allowing it to illuminate large spaces as a statement piece, making it ideal for residential locations as well as contemporary architectural projects ranging from hotels to contract settings. Its transparency allows it to blend in readily and harmonize with any space: While off, it’s a forceful object with a strong presence, but while on, its transparency defines its volume and filters the light.
Marset’s Ringo pendant is offered in two diameters — 70 and 90 cm — and four finishes (smoked, dark smoked, rose, and green). Three different iterations round out the collection: a pendant, a flush-mount and a fixed-stem version with customizable stem length. 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K color temperatures are available by default for a wide range of project compatibility, and both ELV and 0-10V dimming are available.
