Designed in a first-ever collaboration between international architecture firm Gensler and architectural hardware brand Formani, the Rivio collection features a unique ergonomic shape that highlights how small details can make a big impact.
Gensler had the role of product design consultant and, working with “transition” as an overarching concept, developed the handle of Rivio to progress from slender to solid by way of a carved cutaway.
This detail allows the thumb and finger to be engaged in a natural way, which affords a better grip to help make opening and closing easier.
Elegant and sleek, the lever handle is suitable for use in private homes as well as hospitality settings, offices and retail spaces and provides a pleasing – though short-lived – haptic experience.
Two variants are available for Rivio – one that gently curves from neck to rose and one that is bent at a 90-degree angle. Made from stainless steel, the series is offered in four finishes: satin stainless steel, PVD satin gold, PVD satin black and powder-coated bronze.
