Industrial designer Colin Nourie focused on creative placemaking when devising the Salita collection for South Florida outdoor furniture-maker Pavilion. Comprised of 25 configurable table and seating elements, the series establishes a refined lounge experience in both residential and hospitality settings.
Handcrafted from durable materials like powder-coated aluminum, eco-woods and weather- and UV-resistant woven synthetic fibres, the pieces share a tailored aesthetic that walks the line between contemporary and traditional.
Modules include benches and chaises, lounge chairs, corner and curved sections and two- and three-seater sofas, which can be standalone or linked together with flexible nylon connectors to create a multitude of arrangements. Slender and bent legs lift the pieces off the ground and create a visually light landscape, while the high-resiliency foam cushions feature a breathable moisture-repellant layer that is mould- and mildew-resistant. Removable upholstery covers are offered in a wide range of fabrics and colourways.
Tabletop options include slatted Ecowood (in Ashwood, Stonewood, Golden Teak or Brazilian Walnut), solid aluminum, marble-look (Carrara, Emperador or Rocca) or Corian (in 10 solid or terrazzo-style options); the tables can be integrated into configurations or serve as nearby auxiliary surfaces.
