A new line by guest designer Elizabeth Roberts — of Brooklyn-based architecture firm Elizabeth Roberts Architects (ERA) — the Scenic wallpaper collection recalls the historic landscape murals found in the grand dining rooms of old-world New York City.

Expressing the architect’s signature blend of “historical details and contemporary values,” the collection is an interpretation of a 1910 postcard of Frederick Law Olmstead’s Prospect Park, a centrepiece of the city that Roberts calls home.

Hand-drawn in ink, lines reminiscent of architectural sketches run vertically across the canvas, creating a backdrop for a bucolic scene rendered in cross-hatching, stippling and lines in varying thicknesses.

The panorama is at once formal and casual, elegant and industrial, it makes a stunning introduction in nearly any setting; it can be configured to fit around mantles and work with any ceiling height.

Offered as a clay-coated paper or Type II commercial substrate, Scenic is available in eight colourways that range from light metallic tone-on-tone to blueprint-inspired cream and lapis and include moody combinations in between.
