Playing with the perception of shapes, the Slabs coffee table from Carpanese Home was designed by Matteo Zorzenoni to be viewed from multiple perspectives.

Striking a harmonious balance between functionality and sculpture, the Slabs coffee table from Carpanese Home gives the impression of being a single, continuous volume when in reality it is comprised of flat, interlocking panels in different materials.

Rounded corners add softness and elegance to the overall shape of the Slabs coffee table, while the legs appear to transition organically into the tabletop.

The Slabs coffee table can be constructed with a solid ash wood top and base (or with ready-for-lacquering fibreboard panels) that are slotted together with either marble or porphyry stone legs. From one angle, the stone legs form a V-shape, while from another, they appear to open up like wings; the tabletop itself gives the illusion that it has been placed delicately on top.

Part of Carpanese Home’s Tailor-Made Program, the Slabs coffee table can be personalized through the selection of finishes available.

Focused on high quality craftsmanship and materiality, Italian designer Matteo Zorzenoni is known for his ability to pair unexpected materials to create stylized and innovative pieces that still emphasize functionality and practicality.
