Smolder and Smoke by J+J Flooring

Expanding and refining its Smolder modular carpet tile collection with the addition of the coordinating Smoke pattern, J+J Flooring offers a cohesive series for spaces that require rich texture and an opulent feel.

Smoke in Fume; shown at top, Smolder and Smoke in Cedar

The Smolder & Smoke carpet tiles from J+J Flooring utilize metallic yarns that lend richness to the patterns and an upscale appearance. Designed to work together, the two patterns have a luxurious pile with just a hint of lustre; the carpet tiles are made from Encore BCF Nylong with ColorLoc Plus, which offers exceptional colour, performance and appearance retention.

Smolder in Ignite

Smolder, the original design, was inspired by shou sugi ban — the Japanese technique of preserving wood through the charring of its surface — and has an organic motif resembling charcoaled wood grain. Smolder is available in a 30.4-by-121.9-centimeter tile and 10 rich and dramatic colours. Smolder has been refined with the addition of several complementary lighter colours that introduce golden hues, light sand and variations of beige and taupe.

Smoke in Craft

The coordinating Smoke is a small-scale textural pattern that emulates the muted flickering of embers and fire fragments. Smoke is available in a 60.9-by-60.9-centimetre modular tile and the same 10 colours as Smolder — Ash, Fume, Cinder, Torch, Ignite, Ember, Craft, Cedar, Technique and Cypress.

Smolder in Fume

The Smolder & Smoke carpet tiles from J+J Flooring feature a standard Nexus Modular backing, which is comprised of pre-consumer recycled content and can be diverted from the landfill at end of life through the brand’s flooring reclamation program.
