The Spot is the newest offering from Bay Area-based Quiet Town, the bathroom products brand founded by Lisa and Michael Fine in 2018 that is focused on sustainability, thoughtfulness and functionality – all wrapped up in good design.
Four years in the making, The Spot modular shower storage system was designed in collaboration with Brad Ascalon Studio NYC and represents a new category of bathroom decor offerings from Quiet Town (originally established in Brooklyn, the Fines recently moved themselves and their company to California), which until now has primarily been comprised of an ever-growing array of beautiful shower curtains, bath mats and towels.
A clever concept executed perfectly, The Spot from Quiet Town is a powder-coated aluminum circle with grid-like rows of lozenge-shaped perforations from which the storage attachments can be hung and rehung in any arrangement. The smartly designed accessories included with each Spot are: a medium and a big basket, a fogless mirror, a soap dish and a single hook (all made from powder-coated aluminum).
The Spot’s main rounded grid is offered in three colourways – Night Ride (black), Pine and Sand – and the accessories come in a variety of different colourways, each of which complements or contrasts the main circle’s tone; a matching, adjustable PVC strap hangs The Spot over the shower head, or the unit can be mounted directly to the wall. Additional add-on accessories can also be incorporated, including single bottle baskets, toothbrush holders and razor hooks.
With its modular and convenient design, The Spot bathroom accessory from Quiet Town can also be used outside of the shower if desired – it can serve as a striking catch-all for keys and mail at the front door, a jewellery organizer or even a wall-mounted herb garden.
