Teknion‘s Untethered is a product portfolio of mobile worktools equipped with battery packs to power your phone and laptop through an entire day.

While pulling power from the active battery, the backup charges and is ready for use when you need it. Similar to the ebike, which gives you the power to go further and carry more, Untethered can extend your reach, your day, and your office.

At the heart of the product portfolio is the lithium iron phosphate battery. Nickel and cobalt free, the battery is safe and non-toxic if punctured, making it harder to ignite in the event of mishandling. More environmentally friendly than lead-acid batteries, the Untethered battery can also be deconstructed for reuse of parts.

With a 245Wh capacity, the portable battery unit comes with a sophisticated built-in battery management system that manages the charging and discharging of the battery, and continuously monitors its health to ensure safe and reliable operation. This system also helps maximize the lifespan of the battery, while the charging stand can power up to six batteries at once from a standard wall plug.

The exterior battery life indicator displays remaining battery capacity at the push of a button. Users can transport Untethered in two ways – on its own with Teknion‘s Untethered Mobile Power Post or mounted to mobile furniture with the Untethered Furniture Adapter.

The versatile collection includes the Untethered Counterbalance Height-Adjustable Table and Untethered Expansion Flip-Top Table that easily nests without removing the Untethered battery. The battery also mounts on the back of the Untethered Routes Media Rover, providing an ideal mobile work tool for meetings and virtual tours.
