Amsterdam-based industrial designer Khodi Feiz has created the Vika wall sconce for Abstracta, in collaboration with Unika Vaev, a sculptural acoustic light that meets at the intersection of light and sound.

An expansion to Khodi Feiz’s Vika acoustic ceiling fixture/floor screen, the Vika wall sconce from Unika Vaev introduces a sense of calm and peace to high-traffic environments. Taking a sculptural approach to acoustic lighting, the Vika wall sconce from Unika Vaev features a singular panel that has been shaped like a folded wing and can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Made with a recycled PET sound-absorbing core, the Vika wall sconce provides high-performance sound absorption; this quality is enhanced even further by the Texfel acoustic felt (a non-woven synthetic PET felt) exterior, which is offered four curated colourways: beige, blue, dark grey and light grey.

Adding to its versatility, the Vika wall sconce from Unika Vaev can be specified with or without integrated lighting. If selected with lighting, a soft-glowing LED is discreetly concealed within the body and casts a soothing ambient illumination without any harsh glare. Without an LED, the Vika wall sconce serves solely as an effective acoustic installation.

Whether with or without an integrated LED source, the Vika wall sconce enhances the visual comfort of any space, adding a pleasingly sculptural quality to offices, restaurants and hospitality spaces.
