With the Xume seating collection, French furniture-maker Alki and Spanish studio Iratzoki & Lizaso present a new slant on the standard wooden chair. 

The structured seat features a classic scaffolding-like design made from smooth wood and accented by felt sling that is made from recycled and recyclable PET. Pulled taut, the super-soft and textural material adds an element of softness to the sturdy chair. 

Xume is available in four colourways with the structure offered in a matching colour or a natural wood finish. Six attachment points in the frame allow the seat sling to be easily removed and replaced with another version to create new colour combinations. 

Influenced by such masters of Scandinavian design as Børge Mogensen and Hans Wegner, Alki’s clean-lined Xume seating collection has a pure and pared-down elegance that can easily blend into any setting.
