BIG CPH is looking for a Chinese Speaking Structural Engineer.
As a Structural Engineer, you will be a part of the BIG Engineering team, located in Copenhagen, which is a specialized unit dedicated to ensuring the structural and building services integrity of BIG buildings globally.
About the job
You will be responsible for carrying out sketching, analysis, design, design review and communication on projects within the team. You will report to the Structures Team Leader, and your main responsibilities fall into the following areas:
- Contribute to a robust and competent structural design and delivery service
- Work in close collaboration with the architecture teams and other engineering disciplines and reinforce our holistic approach
- Contribute to internal and external communication activities.
About you
- You hold a Master degree level education in civil/structural engineering.
- Expertise in at least one of the following subjects is required: advanced structural steel design (specifically buckling and global stability), precast or post-tensioned concrete design, dynamics and footfall vibration, seismic engineering, foundation design, construction and site supervision.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience of structural design and delivery, after graduation
- Have experience of architect lead, building design projects in Asia
- Have experience of finite element analysis and be comfortable with BIM projects

- Professional proficiency in Chinese and English is a requirement
- You have an interest in the role that engineers have to play in the co-creation of great buildings
