Populous is looking to recruit a multi-faceted Motion Graphic Designer, animator, button-pusher, storyteller, movie lover and video editor that can bring their creativity and ideas to the table to join our team in Dallas. Someone who can take a project from nothing to something in a short amount of time, and loves the broad spectrum of video production including Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, Compositing, 2D and 3D Animation, video shooting, editing and sound design. Ability to deliver creative solutions and quality results whether working on your own or part of a team. We tease the stories from our clients and turn them into engaging and creative animations or videos.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal team and external client meetings.
• Develop initial creative ideas, mood boards, style frames, scripts and storyboards.
• Produce a broad array of still renderings, animations and video content.
• A great understanding of After Effects, Photoshop, 3DS MAX and V-Ray.
• Have a very good standard of English, both spoken and written.
• All other duties and responsibilities as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be proficient in After Effects and Photoshop.
• Must understand the fundamentals of animation, composition, and storytelling.
• Create stunning visuals to accompany written scripts or creative briefs.
• Present concepts and work both internally and to clients.
• Keep up with new design styles.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to different people, situations and changing priorities with grace and flexibility as well as demonstrating an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Bonus points:
• Knowledge of any 3D application such as 3DS MAX, C4D, Blender or Sketchup.
• Knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray, Redshift, Lumion or Enscape.
• Knowledge of Photography and Videography with a DSLR camera.

Education/Experience

• College Degree preferred
• 1-5 years’ experience preferred
