DesignAgency is currently looking for a Graphic Designer with an inspiring portfolio and great branding sensibility to assist with our Creative Services projects, DesignAgency internal Marketing, and some Interior Design projects in our Toronto office. You will report to and partner with our Creative Services Manager to execute projects, overseen by DesignAgency Principals & Founding Partners. Applicants should have experience in creating brand identities, art direction, digital design, and marketing campaigns. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Bringing ideas to life visually through graphic design 
  • Developing strategic concepts, mock-ups, logos, palettes, and original ideas that solve client briefs within hospitality, commercial, and residential spaces 
  • Executing final layouts for production in print, digital, signage and environmental tactics
  • Creating Brand Guideline documents and packaging final brand files such as logos, fonts, symbols, patterns, imagery, etc.
  • Creating client facing presentation decks
  • Presenting and communicating work to clients and team members
  • Revising layouts in accordance with edits and feedback – 
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Thinking beyond the “ask” to offer thoughtful creative solutions with purpose
  • Balancing work and meeting deadlines without compromising quality
  • Adding design and creative power to DesignAgency’s Creative Services team

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of working experience on branding and marketing design within an agency or client-side 
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts, Graphic Design Certificate or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required
  • Expertise building client facing presentation decks
  • Solid foundation of design theory, typography, and practical tools
  • Experienced in brand system building
  • Well informed in current graphic trends, art, fashion, typography, and design
  • Detail-orientated, organized, and self-motivated
  • Able to pivot and provide creative solutions to client feedback 
  • A great communicator and presenter with ability to rationalize and sell ideas 
  • Able to work within tight timelines, stay on brief, and manage multiple projects or deliverables 
  • Web design experience is an asset
  • Brand naming, copywriting (tagline creation), marketing, and strategic direction capabilities are a bonus
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, drive, and an interest in hospitality design
