With flowing patterns that refer to cursive script, art deco marquee lighting and the classic loop as a symbol of continuity, the Looping mirror from Beginner Ceramics is a seamless merging of functional reflective surface and sculptural artwork.

The ceramic frames of the Looping mirror from Beginner Ceramics are carefully constructed from hand-sculpted coils that are joined together in the swirling modules. Each mirror can be custom-sized to suit a variety of both residential and hospitality settings.

Also influenced by Art Nouveau motifs, the Looping mirror comes in round, oval, square and rectangular shapes and is glazed in one of four standard colours — eggshell gloss, royal blue, grass green and (unglazed) sand; additional finishes can be accommodated by request.

Artist Jesse Hamerman founded Beginner Ceramics in 2021, marking a “return to clay” after 21 years. Drawing on knowledge acquired after two decades collaborating with other artists to realize large-scale works in metal, wood, foam, concrete and other materials, Hamerman brings a deep appreciation for form and process to every piece crafted at Beginner Ceramics, with each design being informed by exuberance and intention.

Other pieces in the Beginner Ceramics portfolio include sculptural vases and table lamps that marry creative whimsy with artistic integrity.
