
In addition to presenting the AZ Award winners, Azure also recognized 36 brilliant projects, products and concepts with Awards of Merit in its fourth annual AZ Awards.
From a home that seems to float on a plinth to a lounger inspired by snow shoes, and a lighting system based on virtual LEDs, the Award of Merit winners are ingenious and elegant. Along with the 13 winners, these works were celebrated at Azure’s gala on Friday night.
From 652 entries that came from in all over the world, 49 finalists were selected by our jury, made up of Jamie Gray of Matter; Patricia Patkau of Patkau Architects; Charles Waldheim of the Harvard Graduate School of Design; Ron Arad; and Diego Burdi of Burdifilek. Here are the 36 Awards of Merit:
