A lot has changed since Azure first launched in 1985. Back then, Jonathan Ive’s colourful Apple iMac was still years away, LEDs and 3D-printing were the stuff of science fiction, and building green was an off-beat specialization practiced by a few mavericks working well ahead of the curve.

Azure has tracked and reported on these profound moments, and many more breakthrough innovations from around the globe, mapping out the lightening-speed in which design has evolved. To honour our 30-year milestone, we have poured over 235 past issues of Azure and compiled this special 34-page 30th Anniversary Journal.
