Featuring the best design and architecture from around the world – as selected by our esteemed international jury – this special edition of AZURE magazine commemorates 15 years of the AZ Awards. The July/Aug 2025 issue showcases the winners and finalists in product and furniture design, architecture and landscape architecture, interiors and concepts, and more.
Some of the works we celebrate in the 2025 AZ Awards are outstanding in their efforts towards reconciliation with Indigenous peoples – Saunders Architecture’s Tekαkαpimək Contact Station in Maine, for one, honours both the history and the future of the Wabanaki with a forest-embracing design; while the təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre, in New Westminster, B.C., exemplifies a thoughtful combination of community engagement and design ambition. The two proposals by our A+ Student Award winners, both from Spain, meanwhile, explore the future of self-sufficiency with bold ideas for an eco village and a farming community.
2025 also marks the first time that we are awarding Emerging firms. The inaugural winners, HW Studio, Odami and Common Object Studio, demonstrate a profound commitment to creating meaningful work.
