Brief
What is sustainable architecture? The pursuit of greener technologies and more sustainable methods of construction has been a central focus within the field of architecture and design for decades. It has birthed some inspirational and innovative ideas, many of which may have sounded strange at first.
Solar powered kiosks for off-grid communities. Shipping container construction. Modular building. Self-healing bio concrete. Grasscrete. Anything and everything has been explored in order to leave less of an impact on the environment during the construction and life-cycle of new structures.
Bee Breeders, in partnership with ARCHHIVE BOOKS, is calling for essay submissions so you can have your say. Participants from any field are invited to enter, not just those in architecture and design, with selected winners being included in the upcoming print publication “What is Sustainable Architecture?” due for release from ARCHHIVE BOOKS in spring 2021.
