It is no secret that we’re big fans of Lee Broom, the British designer who has a special talent for creating cerebral lighting with a strong spiritual quality. (See: our enthusiastic coverage of his brand’s 15th anniversary Divine Inspiration collection, which took cues from places of worship, and the follow-up Alchemist range, which evolved from his love for the Paulo Coelho novel of the same name.) Now, we’re teaming up with lighting and furniture showroom LightForm to give you a chance to win one of Lee Broom’s latest designs, the wireless Chant lamp.
Introduced during last year’s edition of 3DaysofDesign in Copenhagen, Chant marks Lee Broom’s first-ever portable. Inspired by the glass blocks popularized in 1970s design (and currently experiencing a big resurgence today), it combines architectural rigour with mystical flair.
Charged via USB-C, the battery-operated light encases a glowing orb inside a hand-blown glass cube punctured with circular indents, all mounted on an aluminum base. Fully weather-resistant, it can be used both indoors and out, even in wet conditions. Four levels of touch dimming and up to 40 hours of illumination ensure comforting, long-lasting mood lighting. We’re offering Chant in clear glass with a bronze-finish base.
