Adjaye Associates is looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join its team in London.
The position would be based in the London office, from where they oversee projects in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Responsibilities
- Work with the design team to produce furniture plans, elevation drawings, diagrams and details
- Assist with all phases of the project including conceptual, schematic, design development and Construction documents
- Render furniture plans and views to create presentations with the ability to create cohesive documents
- Research and source architectural and interior finishes, fabrics, furniture, sanitary ware, ironmongery, etc.
- Produce schedules for specified items
- Coordinate internally with teams, as well as externally with consultants and suppliers
- Present ideas both internally and externally
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two to five years’ experience in the role of an interior designer or interiors architect
- Professional degree in interior design, interior architecture, or architecture
- Thorough knowledge of furniture and finishes
- Excellent design, presentation and graphics skills
- Technical knowledge and ability to deliver technical drawing packages, including bespoke detailing
- Good understanding of high-end design and custom design processes
- Confidence in liaising with outside suppliers, contractors and specialists as required
- An interest in keeping up to date with new developments and design trends in the design industry
- The ability to visualise concepts and confidently explain and present them to others
- Interest in cultural, commercial and hospitality sectors; prior experience in these sectors is a plus

- Strong proficiency in the following programs essential: Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MSOffice
- Must have the existing right to work in the UK
