To celebrate the 50-year partnership between Carnegie and Swiss textile brand Création Baumann, the companies have introduced the Acoustic Divider Vario to the North American market. An innovative acoustic partition curtain system, Acoustic Divider Vario from Carnegie can significantly reduce noise levels, contributing to calm and quite environments.

An ideal solution for open-plan spaces that need to offer employees freedom and flexibility as well as privacy, Création Baumann’s Acoustic Divider Vario from Carnegie can be used to effortlessly and quickly create quiet zones in any room.

The Acoustic Divider Vario partition curtains are comprised of three layers – two outer panels of acoustic fabric with a NoiseBlocker (a synthetic rubber that provides exceptional sound insulation” inner core.

Developed by Création Baumann textile designers with the Department of Technology and Architecture at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the innovative rubber membrane provides sound insulation and reduction of up to 23 decibels while remaining soft and flexible. Tailored side seams and the opportunity for contrasting piping lend the outer layers of acoustic textiles a refined aesthetic.

An alternative to constructed walls, the Acoustic Divider Vario from Carnegie can be installed (by experts) on the ceiling using a metal rail system, which comes in two profiles – straight and curved – with each able to handle a high load capacity of 90 and 150 kilograms, respectively. Internal smooth-running castors can be operated either by hand or motor. The durable rail system is offered in white, grey or black finishes.

A wide range of textiles in various colours constructions and patterns is available from Carnegie for the Acoustic Divider Vario system, allowing for the opportunity to create defined and structured quiet zones. The soft “walls” of the system optimize spaces by providing areas that can be blocked off and enclosed for private meetings, brainstorming sessions, heads-down work and more.
