Recently released, the Alba and Shell lights from Gaspare Asaro are defined by hand-crafted artistry and sophisticated styles. Designed by creative director Vittorio Asaro, both the Alba and Shell ceiling and wall lights are hand-made by skilled artisans in Italy, at the multifaceted design studio’s workshops in Milan and Florence.

Playing with the concepts of translucency and transparency, the Alba light was inspired by warm Mediterranean sunrises. The curved plate-shaped ceiling light is composed of alternating pieces of clear or tinted glass with translucent acrylic, an arrangement that creates a rhythmic pattern through various reflections.

The main curved shade of the Alba light is closed off by an acrylic cap, which accentuates the clean, modern aesthetic.

The Alba light from Gaspare Asaro is suitable for use in a variety of spaces and is available in a number of different glass options, including clear, tinted, rose, frosted and Bronzo Nuvolato (or clouded bronze). A selection of metal finishes is also offered.

With the Shell light from Gaspare Asaro, nature served as inspiration for the organically shaped shell-like structure. Made from forged brass, the fluid and textural shell features three handblown Sfera glass orbs made in Murano.

Available in 10 metal finishes and eight enamel colours, the Shell light walks the line between rustic and refined. The uneven and almost crinkled brass fixture reflects and deflects illumination in intriguing ways, bringing a ton of personality to interiors. The Shell light is available in ceiling and wall versions.
