Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

West Elm 7.0 Collection Designtex

The West Elm 7.0 collection from Designtex is the seventh collaboration between Designtex and West Elm, and introduces three new high-performance and versatile textiles.

Called Acre, Template and Marl, the three textiles in the West Elm 7.0 collection are suitable for a range of applications, including certain healthcare settings, educational institutions, office spaces and hospitality venues.

Tapping into West Elm’s residential roots, the collection features colour stories that reflect the brand’s perspective, with soft neutrals, weathered earth tones and desaturated hues tailored to complement and accentuate modern interiors.

Acre in Indigo

Featuring a hand-drawn pattern of interlocking shapes that dance across the surface, Acre is a post-consumer recycled polyester (62 per cent) twill with an architectural yet crafted appearance. The upholstery fabric is available in five colours – Apricity, Volcano, Warbler, Thyme and Indigo.

Template is defined by irregularly drawn circles and squares that work together to form a monochromatic, mid-scale pattern with a deceptively large repeat. Made from a blend of polyester, solution-dyed acrylic, post-consumer recycled polyester (30 per cent) and solution-dyed nylon, the upholstery fabric is available in 12 colours – Pumice, Chalk, Pewter, Coal, Spice, Golden, Olive, Arboretum, Pistachio, Sky, Azure and Navy.

Marl in Lagoon

The third fabric in the West Elm 7.0 collection from Designtex is Marl, a textured plain weave that is pleasing to the touch. Cozy and tactile, the textile is named for the marled yarns used in both the warp and weft. Constructed from polyester, acrylic and Olefin (post-consumer recycled and solution dyed), the upholstery fabric is available in 18 colours – Ivory, Beach, Desert, Silver, Mineral, Carbon, Slate, Graphite, Alder, Brick, Coral, Sun, Willow, Leaf, Jungle, Cyan, Lagoon and Midnight.

All three textiles in the West Elm 7.0 collection from Designtex are strong enough to stand alone but also make beautiful companions when used together. They are all bleach-treatable and highly durable.
