The Capas table collection from Davis Furniture has been expanded to include round versions, bringing another level of versatility and approachability.
Designed by long-time collaborators Jehs+Laub, the award-winning Capas table from Davis Furniture was originally released in a soft square form with gently rounded corners; the new version is intended to seamlessly integrate with the existing iterations as well as stand on its own.
Creating an interplay of solids and voids, the Capas table from Davis Furniture is an intriguing balance of delicate lightness and bold presence, with its expression changing depending on the angle it is approached from.
The Capas table from Davis Furniture is made from a 6.35-millimetre-thick sheet of solid aluminum – the table’s surface – that is welded seamlessly to the curved sheets of aluminum that form the two legs; the specially curved portion of the table means that only two legs are necessary for stability and balance.
A natural complement to modern interiors, the Capas table from Davis Furniture is lightweight, sculptural and easily adaptable. The tables can be used alone, as a side table to a lounge chair in a cozy corner, or grouped together in sets of two or more to create multipurpose surfaces.
When nested together, the Capas tables form an intriguing topographical landscape, with differing heights lending dynamic dimension and depth. The rounded version of the Capas table can be paired with other circular tables or the original soft square.
The new rounded version of the Capas table is available in the same three heights as its predecessor, making it easy to mix and match arrangements. More than 35 curated powder-coated colours are offered, including refined neutrals and the brand’s signature Color Trends options, which range from cool, light tones to rich, nature-derived hues.
