The rounded and upholstered corners of the Esmee storage bed ensure a comfortable approach from all sides while its low-slung stature conceals its generous storage capabilities – accessed by an easy-lift mechanism at the foot of the bed, an internal cavity can house extra duvets and bedding, off-season clothing or other occasionally used items. A standard version without storage is also available.

The sturdy engineered hardwood and metal frame of the Esmee storage bed from Castlery is wrapped in a foam and then upholstered in one of two performance fabric options, Cream or Mustard Brown; plywood mattress slats negate the need for a box spring and the slightly recessed, solid rubberwood base (in a chestnut finish) gives the impression it is floating just above the ground.

Adding to its attractiveness, both options of performance upholstery fabric have a melange effect with subtle tonal shifts and a washed finish that lends the Esmee storage bed a relaxed character. Spill-resistant and durable, the upholstery on the headboard and siderails is actually a removable slipcover, allowing for easy cleaning and to change the overall appearance – from the heathered cream to the warm mustard brown and back again – if desired.
